What: Regional family event centered around a 5k run/walk (walkers are invited and welcome!). The Run for Clean Air is a combination of an air quality-awareness event for East Tennessee and a fundraiser for the East Tennessee Clean Fuels Coalition. When: Saturday, May 12, 2012; registration starts onsite at 7:30am, run starts at 9am. We ask participants to have completed onsite registeration by 8:30am (be there by 8:15am) so as not to delay the race start.
Why: To celebrate the wonderful outdoor environment that we have in East Tennessee and raise awareness for regional work that is led by the East Tennessee Clean Fuels Coalition to improve our air quality and put alternative fuels in use! Alternative Fuel Vehicle (AFV) showcase of 10-15 vehicles of six different fuel types
-- This will include a display of and test driving of the Chevy Volt! In addition, a Volt will be our Official Pace Car for this year's race!!
Displays from multiple, regional groups that work in the air quality field, collectively providing solid information on our air quality issues
We are working on having our back massages available this year too!

If you've never been to Dollywood or Dollywood Splash Country, you're missing it! Dollywood has oodles of stuff to do including rides and (my personal favorite) all the crafts, but if it's warmer weather, Splash Country is your destination of choice to beat the heat! One of our lucky teams this year will win a multitude of individual tickets to Dollywood AND Splash Country!
